In addition to our direct sales program,
Chiron is seeking opportunities to partner with other supply chain professionals
in the development and delivery of logistics solutions.
Our value proposition is based on our ability to contribute to a total customer
solution by providing:
- Supply chain software components - Chiron's focus is within the four
walls of a facility. Our software helps optimize inventory levels while
driving down labor, equipment, and storage costs. In many cases, ROI
can be achieved in less than one year.
- Supply chain design tools - Our key design application, i-Lean,
is a sophisticated tool used to prescribe optimal material flow patterns,
storage media, and slotting parameters at the SKU level. Each solution is
costed out and ABC results are available for cost, volumetrics, and lead
time dimensions. Practitioners can use i-Lean to quickly develop facility
design options that include price performance data driven by customer supplied
SKU characteristics and logistics process parameters. This capability can
dramatically improve the turnaround on sales proposals.
- Design support - As is the case with most powerful tools, learning to
use them effectively is critical to success. Chiron is committed to working
with both customers and logistics professionals to develop skills and collaborate
on specific design challenges. We believe that outstanding technology transfer
cements strong customer relationships.
- Logistics process consulting - We build software to address problems we
understand; our expertise in supply chain logistics can be valuable in assessing
customer needs and designing solutions, particularly those involving business
processes and information technology.
Partnering relationships
can be initiated in two ways: as a response to an immediate customer demand
or as a planned effort to establish a foundation for collaboration in
anticipation of customer demand. While either will work, we believe investment
in the planned approach leads to more predictable and effective results.
Generally, one company will take the lead role in a customer engagement.
This includes not only providing but coordinating the delivery of goods and
services and managing the customer interface.
Chiron is prepared to participate as either the lead or as a subcontractor
as the situation dictates. Contracts can be adjusted to fit the circumstances,
ensuring that all parties, including the customer, have clear expectations
about deliverables and schedules.
Chiron also has a sales agent program that provides generous compensation
for both product sales and productive referrals.
